Kit Ehrgood is no stranger to music. He was born in San Antonio Texas and at age seven started taking lessons from Allen Collins of Lynyrd Skynyrd. By age thirteen, Kit was playing multiple instruments, performing in church choirs, jazz ensembles and gypsy fairs. After a severe illness in high school, Kit moved to Hawaii and became fascinated by the culture of music from around the world. He continued to pursue his passion and by the early 1990's was opening for major recording artists, touring, and ended up producing several bands.. Since then Kit has authored several music theory books, created an organization which helps inner city kids afford instruments, lessons, and tutoring for school subjects (see S.A.Y. music.) He founded Spokane Music Institute, which will start offering high school and accredited classes as well as introducing Yoga, Mindfull living and sound healing this year. Kit has scored and produced music for radio, motion pictures, and websites. His vast knowledge, creativity and gift in teaching makes Kit one of the most sought after instructors in the Pacific Northwest. Kit has currently worked with Tasha Larae, (Arrested Development) Curt Ramm, Bill Hollowman,(Bruce Springstein E street band, Chic, Duran Duran) Gemi Taylor, (p- funk, Graham Central Station, Marvin Gaye) Steve Whickham (The Waterboys), , Atticus Kelly(The Mclovins), Robert Lang and Eric Lichter.
